Gardens by the Bay
Opened in phases from 2012, this is a national garden project on reclaimed land at Marina Bay. The big draws are the outdoor Supertree Grove, the glass Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories, and free lawns with views back toward the CBD.

How to get there
Use Bayfront MRT station — DT16 (Downtown Line) and CE1 (Circle Line). Follow signs to Exit B for the underground link to the gardens (about 5 minutes’ walk). You can also walk from Downtown (DT17) or along the waterfront from Marina Bay Sands.
Supertree Grove & OCBC Skyway
The Supertrees are steel frames planted with climbers and epiphytes; the tallest are about 50 m. Walking through the outdoor grove is free. The OCBC Skyway is a 128 m-long walkway 22 m above ground between two Supertrees (separate ticket, weather-dependent closures). Check height and mobility restrictions on the official site.
Garden Rhapsody
A free light-and-music show runs at the Supertree Grove on a fixed schedule (typically two slots nightly, but times vary). Arrive early; the area is dark between shows.
Flower Dome & Cloud Forest
Both are cooled conservatories. The Flower Dome holds Mediterranean and semi-arid plants; the Cloud Forest has a 35 m indoor “mountain,” waterfall, and high-elevation plant displays. Tickets are often sold as a bundle; Singapore residents may get different rates—see the official pricing page.
- Allow 3–5 hours if you want both conservatories, the Skyway, and a relaxed walk outdoors.
- Carry a light jacket: dome temperatures are cool.
- Peak periods: weekends, school holidays, and the year-end light-up season.
